Forensics Disability Support : In and Outreach programs
Our forensics disability support program is designed to help you comply with your pre and post release orders whilst addressing your disability support needs.
We aim to support you to achieve your transitional goals, your NDIS goals whilst kicking goals with your personal goals.
The program is designed to mitigate the risk of reoffending and reduce the frequency of your contact with the criminal Justice system.
We work with your clinical team to understand the root cause of your challenging behaviours and how it relates to or influences your offending behaviour.
Through implementation of clinically endorsed strategies, we develop a transition plan that caters to your disability support needs whilst concurrently addressing the justice related needs of your support.
Specialist Residential Accommodation
MH&R’s currently delivers direct care to a few participant sliving in private, specialist and transitional accommodation across the Melbourne metropolitan area.
Eligibility criteria to access this program does include but not limited to participant’s living with living with multiple and complex need.
Participants with previous or current history of contact with the criminal Justice system or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system are also eligible to access the program.
Acceptance of your application to live in one of our houses will address one of the major factors contributing to offending (Homelessness). We’ll use evidence-based reporting to demonstrate your personal development and to show how well you are progressing.
The program will address other critical sociological factors contributing to your offending. (Employment, Community connections, Family, Substance use and Mental health).
We support participants who satisfy the criteria of the Crimes Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be tried Act (CMIA).
We implement support provision to ensure that you remain compliant with conditions outlined by the Adult Parole Board or the Forensic Leave Panel.
We also provide support to young people who require protection and are directed to live under the care of the Secretary of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).
